Matteis, Nicola - Ayres for the Violin Vol I - The Arcadian Academy

This recording is some of the most uplifting, entertaining, and beautiful violin music that I own. The Arcadian Academy plays this music outstandingly. This disc includes four suites and two sonatas. The suite in d minor stands out as one of my favorites. This suite, for me, is on par with some of the greatest music ever written for violin. The members of Academy play very nicely together under the direction of Nicholas McGegan. I look forward to hearing other recordings from this group.--Amazon
A baroque violin is, in common usage, any violin whose neck, fingerboard, bridge, and tailpiece are of the type used during the baroque period. Such an instrument may be an original built during the baroque and never changed to modern form; or a modern replica built as a baroque violin; or an older instrument which has been converted (or re-converted) to baroque form. "Baroque cellos" and "baroque violas" also exist, with similar modifications made to their form.

ReplyDeleteBy taking beginners violin lessons, the students will learn how to hold the bow correctly. Learning these basics for the impatient get quite boring when you are eager to start playing the violin, but mastering these basic skills are equally important as without the same, you can never become a good violin player. viola app
