Jones, Richard - Suites for Harpsichord – Judit Peteri

Review:

Its about time someone was brave enough to record the harpsichord works of Richard Jones. Though barely known even now, the harpsichord music of Jones deserves to be held in the highest regard as the music from the rest of Europe.

Henry Purcell As eccentric and daring as it is melodic and original, all those interested in English baroque music, harpsichord music , and simply baroque music itself should do themselves a favor and get to know this music better. Jones is one of many examples who can prove that English music continued to be vibrant and exciting after the death of Purcell.
